Welcome to Azores Adventurer ('Website'). By accessing and using this Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ('Terms'). If you do not agree, please refrain from using our Website.

2. Company Information

Meandros D'Azul, operating under the brand name Azores Adventurer, registered in Portugal under VAT number [Your VAT Number], with registered office at Rua Padre João Caetano Flores 22, Ribeira Chã, 9560-550 Lagoa, Azores, Portugal, operates this Website in compliance with European and Portuguese law.

3. Use of the Website

- We reserve the right to restrict access or terminate accounts for any misuse.

6. Booking and Cancellations

- By booking a group trip through our Website, you agree to provide accurate and complete information.

- Deposit: 

  • A non-refundable deposit of €600 per participant is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.

  • Minimum Participation: Each trip requires a minimum of 4 participants to proceed.

  • Trip Confirmation: We will confirm the trip's status at least one month prior to the scheduled departure date.

  • Final Payment: Upon confirmation, an invoice for the remaining balance will be issued. This balance must be paid no later than two weeks before departure. Failure to remit the final payment by this deadline will result in the cancellation of your reservation without getting back the deposit.

  • Cancellation and Refunds:

    • By the Company: If the trip is canceled due to insufficient participants or other unforeseen circumstances, all deposits will be fully refunded.

    • By the Participant: Cancellations by participants are subject to our standard cancellation policy.

- Cancellations: 

  • Cancellations made up to 14 days before departure may be eligible for a full refund, subject to our cancellation policy.

  • If you cancel a booking within 7 to 14 days before the scheduled departure date, you may be entitled to a 50% refund of the total booking cost.

  • Cancellations made less than 7 days before departure are non-refundable.

  • Azores Adventurer reserves the right to cancel trips due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, insufficient bookings, or force majeure. In such cases, a full refund or the option to reschedule will be offered.

  • If you wish to reschedule a trip, please contact us as soon as possible. Any rescheduling requests are subject to availability and may incur additional charges depending on the circumstances.

 

7. Participant conduct and responsibilities

- Respect for Others: Participants agree to treat all fellow participants, Organizers, and individuals encountered during the trip with respect and courtesy at all times. Harassment, discrimination, or any form of disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the group trip without refund.
- Respect for Nature: Participants agree to respect and protect the natural environment during the trip, including proper waste disposal, avoiding harm to wildlife, and adhering to local environmental regulations.
- Respect for Locals: Participants agree to respect the customs, traditions, and privacy of local communities. This includes observing local laws, customs, and interacting with locals in a polite and considerate manner.
- Responsibility for Personal Belongings: Azores Adventurer is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged belongings. Participants are encouraged to purchase travel insurance for added protection.
- Health and Travel Insurance: Participants are required to have valid travel health insurance that covers medical expenses, emergency evacuations, and related incidents. Proof of such insurance may be requested prior to the trip.
- Photographs and Videos: Participants acknowledge and agree that photographs and videos taken during the trip may be used by Azores Adventurer for promotional purposes unless they notify the Organizers in writing prior to the trip.
- Itinerary Modifications: The Organizers reserve the right to modify the itinerary or arrangements for the safety and well-being of the group.
- Safety Guidelines and Prohibited Behavior: Participants must adhere to safety guidelines and are strictly prohibited from using illegal drugs during the trip. Participants are responsible for following the instructions of the Organizers and appointed guides at all times to ensure the smooth operation and safety of the trip. Any violations of this Agreement may result in immediate removal from the trip without refund.

For comprehensive understanding, participants must sign an additional agreement with the above mentioned guidelines when booking a group trip, acknowledging their commitment to these terms and conditions.

8. Limitation of Liability

- We strive to keep our Website secure and operational, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
- We are not responsible for any damages, including data loss, resulting from the use of this Website.
- Azores Adventurer is not responsible for any personal injuries, accidents, or losses incurred during trips booked through our Website, including delays or disruptions caused by events beyond our control, such as natural disasters or political unrest.

9. Third-Party Links

- Our Website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or policies.

10. Modifications to Terms

- We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting on the Website.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

- These Terms are governed by Portuguese law.
- Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Portugal, unless otherwise required by consumer protection laws.

12. Health and Safety Provisions

- Participants are responsible for notifying the Organizers of any health, medical, or dietary requirements in advance to allow proper accommodations to be arranged.
- Participants must read all pre-trip materials provided by the Organizers and pack appropriately based on the itinerary and recommendations.
